NTH DMSRDE MoU Signed to Boost Research, Testing and Training Collaboration

NTH DMSRDE MoU

New Delhi: The National Test House (NTH), under the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Defence Materials and Stores Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE), a laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India (NTH DMSRDE MoU)

The NTH DMSRDE MoU agreement aims to enhance institutional cooperation in research, testing, and training activities.

The NTH DMSRDE MoU provides a structured framework for collaborative research and testing programmes, sharing of laboratory infrastructure and advanced instrumentation, and exchange of scientific and technical expertise.

It also focuses on capacity building through seminars, workshops, and training programmes, along with cooperation in areas of mutual and national importance.

As per the NTH DMSRDE MoU, both institutions will extend mutual support in testing and evaluation services, particularly in cases where specialised facilities are not available internally, subject to mutually agreed terms and conditions.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen knowledge sharing and skill development among scientific and technical professionals from both organisations.

NTH DMSRDE MoU to Enable Joint Research and Testing Initiatives

Established in 1912, the National Test House offers testing, inspection, and quality assurance services for a wide range of industrial and consumer products in compliance with national and international standards. NTH is an NABL-accredited and BIS-recognised laboratory and operates through a network of regional laboratories across India.

DMSRDE, Kanpur, with its origins dating back to 1929, is engaged in the research and development of non-metallic materials, including polymers, composites, elastomers, ceramics, technical textiles, fuels, lubricants, and other specialised materials critical for defence applications.

The NTH DMSRDE MoU underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to leverage their respective strengths, enhance research and testing capabilities, promote skill development, and support self-reliance and national development through structured institutional collaboration.
